We applied to Supervisor Norman Yee’s D7 Participatory Budgeting Process. This lets community members directly decide how to spend part of a public budget. All district residents 16 or older can vote. Check on the map (click for full version) to make sure you’re in D7.

Vote to fund this project online at or in person at West Portal Library, Ingleside Library, or Norman Yee’s office (City Hall, room 273).

Vote to “Restore the Historic Trail System of Laguna Honda”. And also the “Clarendon Crosswalk”, to better connect the San Miguel Hills loop. You can choose additional great projects.

The Laguna Honda Community Trail project is improving the historic multiĀ-use trails on the grounds of the Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center.

Laguna Honda Trail Map

This effort engages the community and new volunteers to build the trail, creates a new destination for visitors, is an asset to the Hospital community, and will become part of the larger San Francisco trail system that connects people in the City to a wild, inviting and educational open space.

Trail under construction

We have work days every Second Saturday of the month. The meeting location is near the eastern edge of the hospital grounds, marked on the map above. The easiest way to get there is to enter at the traffic light on Woodside Ave and walk up the dirt road which follows the fence line.
