SFUR Visits Golden Gate Park
Feb 22nd, 2009 | By Dan | Category: VideosJust because it’s old news, doesn’t make it not news. We thought some of you might have missed this beautiful event, structure and video. Enjoy. What we wish for can come true!
In keeping with its tradition of providing exciting and challenging bicycle recreation to all ages and abilities SF Urban Riders teamed up once again with Pilarcitos Cyclesports, Clif Bar, and IMBA to bring the portable Bike Skills Demo Area to Golden Gate Park on Sunday November 30, 2009. The Bike Skills Demo Area (BSDA) were free to all and SFUR even provided youth bikes on loan for kids that showed up without a bike.
SFUR added some more extreme skills to challenge teen age prodigies and elder adventurists alike. Our THIRTY FIVE (35) foot long Elevated Ladder Bridge – affectionately own as ‘The Beast’ – was ready for all takers. It is a 24″ wide ladder with THREE options: a 10′ Teeter in the middle, a 24″ drop on one side and the third is a reduced skinny rail (4″) to ladder drop. Sure to woe and amaze folks for a while.
