The Sutro Stewards is a key partner of SF Urban Riders in the efforts to design and construct better trails in our larger open spaces like Mount Sutro (UCSF). SFUR volunteers are key to the  Stewards effort and show up every  month to work tirelessly on trails or in the summit garden.

The Sutro Stewards has earned its reputation with the Mount Sutro trail system, but has positioned itself to now work with other city land managers such us the SF Fire Department near Twin Peaks, or the Department of Public Health at Laguna Honda Hospital. Building a trail system through neglected areas in  the center of a dense urban area takes time, vision, and a good strategy.  Watch the video and learn how the Sutro Stewards benefit the community in this process.
