(Children + Bicycles) x Trail = Great
Oct 13th, 2009 | By dcrites | Category: Lead StoryThis past Sunday, October 4th, SFUR hosted Take A Kid Mountain biking Day in San Francisco’s McLaren Park. It was a great turnout, with 16 participants in age from 6 – 14 showing up to ride, and plenty of family members to share the fun. For many this was their first off road biking adventure ever, and it all took place on a few trails in a small section of McLaren that once hosted a BMX track in the early 1980’s.
SFUR would like to thank all who helped by turning out to keep the event fun and the kids safe. An extra thanks to our local sponsors like Clif Bar, Noah’s Bagels, IMBA and Ride SFO.
And don’t think we’ll just be resting on our laurels. SF Urban Riders is working out details on how to host more youth clinics and camps for the spring and summer of 2010. Stay tuned. We’ll finish this report with a few good pictures of good people having good times in a good park on good trails.
